A Sam and Alyssa book: Gone Too Far! Then again Defiant Hero! JK ladies.
Are we reading an interracial book?

What might you be interested in Ms. Arch?"
Who all will be participating. Maybe, we can look to see what books we have in common that none of us has read and we can go from there.

I will participate if I have the book, or can get the book if I don't already have it, and have enough time to read it.
Justine suggested Ivy's Twisted Vine. I don't have a copy of it and I don't really want to spend the $34 Amazon is currently asking for it.I am going to suggest LDA winner Crystal Hubbard's Tempting Faith.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Anyone have a copy of it already? I do (that's why I picked it;p)
I'd love to read Tempting Faith. I think it should be fairly doable for most of us to get a copy. Arch I think you could get this one through ILL.

Maybe Danielle.
Maybe Danielle.
Well, just keep in mind that if a book's not available, it's possible to request it at your local library as a purchase too. :) I don't know how quickly they arrive, but mine have come in pretty quickly when I've tried. Although I don't think I'll be participating in this one. Reading too much as it is, LOL.

and i wouldn't spend $10.00 on it either Lonestarpt. It was just a book that brings out strong emotions in people. You passionately hate it or like it. The discussions I think would have been well worth having.
Eugenia and Danielle, do you two have ANY suggestion for the October book discussion. So far, only Justine and I have offerred suggestions.
I was merely "hinting" that it would be nice to have some additional books selections for the month. I am never mean. At least, not to anyone's face. That would be positively unSouthern of me.
I'd like to read Tempting Faith. I own this one, and I think Crystal Hubbard is a great writer. I am curious to read it after all the accolades at the Lub-Dub awards.
I find that the book discussions are problematic for some of the readers 1)don't read erotic/steamy romance 2) don't have access to ebooks or books that can only be bought online, 3) don't like paranormal. Generally I am trying not to be pushy in my choices because I can sympathize with some of the members along these lines.

I think I shall too! (I just started book #5 to read last night. Ack!)

I'm open for anything, as I've said before, as long as I already have the book or have enough time to get it and read it if I don't. I really don't have any interracial romances at my disposal so I'm really up for anything suggested.
Next week will be a busy week for me and the prior week too. I'll be going on vacation, starting October 5. I will pop in a little on the 5th and I might on the 6th. That's my b-day. I have to go take my mug shot that day, then I will be focusing on getting ready to go on a retreat.
OK. So, it looks like Crystal's Tempting Faith while be the book for our October book discussion. I will set-up a thread for the book chat and make a list of questions once I re-read the book. Don't feel obligated to only answer the questions listed. You can pose your own questions and comment on anything of your choosing.
Thanks for spearheading the discussion again, Shunda. Hugs. (oh oh, Danielle's being touchy-feely again. Better run!)

Yes, a b-day girl.
I think I will call Parris.

Is this an E-book or in print. If it's an E-book where can I get it? I know where I can find it if it's in print.
Ok ladies.... I bought my copy of Tempting Faith today from Borders. I've never participated in a discussion here before, and I'm excited about it. Will the discussion take place here, or will it be another thread?
Oh hey, I bought that book just before I got my e-reader. Since I got my new toy I have been kinda neglecting paper. So I'll have a reason to read it sooner rather than later. Cool.
I will have to get my copy from at home, so I probably won't be able to participate until the middle of the month, unless I find another copy before then.
Hello, ladies. I haven't forgotten about the book discussion. Work just kind of got busy the last few days. Michelle, the leader (in this case me) usually creates a discussion thread and post some general questions about the book in hopes of sparking discussion. You can feel free to answer the questions or just post your own thoughts about the book.
I am going to create a thread now and add the questions a little later.

I am so very sorry, but work has totally been kicking my butt this week. I haven't had time to even look at "Tempting Faith." Hopefully I'll get to it this upcoming week and can have some questions posted next weekend.

Don't feel bad. I've been so busy with work so far this month that I haven't looked at it beyond pulling it off the shelf at Borders and paying for it :)

If you are interested, please post here your suggestions for the book to be read. It can be of any genre, but cannot include any characters named Sam or Alyssa. Just kidding Arch ;P.
