Hi all, long time, no update. But with Covid and all, I’m catching up on all sorts of stuff. This year has been a big change for me, moving from the classroom to the Arts Department for BPS. Part of my work has been decolonizing the curriculum and curating Culturally Relevant curriculum and resources with teachers. In the process towards supporting this work I’ve read many great books, two in particular I’d like to share. 1. Bettina Love’s, “We Want to Do More Than Survive.” 2. Sharroky Hollie’s “Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching and Learning.” Hope you all are staying safe and continue developing your practice.
