I never said what instruments I play. *facepalm* I play clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass, and timpani.

Learning how to play an instrument isn't all that different from sports. It's learning music that's the hard part. Think of it this way:

Learning to read music is like learning muscle memory for sports. It takes time, patience, and extreme amounts of practice to get it right, but once it's there you don't forget.

Learning different instruments is like learning all the rules that go with sports. Each game is a little different, but you body can do the movements.

And I'm more inclined to music, but you kind of understand now, right????

I played alto saxophone in 6th grade, but quit and decided to do choir in 7th, because:
1. I wasn't very good, because I didn't practice enough.
2. I had to carry it around on the bus, which is pretty difficult.
3. My family hated when I practiced.
4. I had to use one of the school's old rusty saxophones, because I couldn't afford to buy or rent my own.
5. Choir seemed easier to handle along with all my other classes.

At some point, I'm going to buy a saxophone and learn to play, because it wasn't that hard, and it was fun. Band class taught me a lot about how music works. I learned stuff about music in choir, too(8th grade choir was the best, favorite teacher ever).

I also want to learn to play the piano and the guitar. I have a keyboard piano, and I'm still a beginner. I know the basics. I'm going to get a fake guitar thing soon that will teach me how to play guitar(I've had one before and it was cool but it kinda broke). It's only, like, $30(which I will use Christmas money on), so, yeah, we'll see how that turns out...
