... She really irritated me at the end of Sempre and the beginning of Redemption with her wallowing. Let me start off by saying, overall I loved her. She was a survivor, she was smart, and she loved Carmine, however her wallowing in the freedoms she couldn't have disgusted me. Like Vincent and Corrado said the moment Haven was born there were certain decisions that would be taken from her just like everyone else.
Vincent rescued her from slavery. He didn't have to do that he was under no obligation to do that. Carmine joined the Mafia in order to get the resources to rescue her after she was kidnapped and all she did was mope and wallow around about him joining the Mafia and them not being able to be free. Yes, address it, but don't wallow in it. Accept it and move the 'f' on. They had been through too much and she had been given too much for her to take that attitude.
And the excessive guilt she felt was stifling. Ok. I get it. Initially, she felt guilty because he chose that life to save her and wondered if she was worth it. Fine. Talk to Carmine about it, then say 'screw all that', love him even more, and stand by him.
She did redeem herself in my eyes though. Overall, they were a spectacular couple.
