The Sword and Laser discussion

First of all, I very much enjoyed that this was ultimately (view spoiler)[a love story grown out of an adversarial relationship (hide spoiler)]. The correspondence interspersed with prose worked well.
I kept wondering what the Seeker was and how that was going to play into the story. And then there was this line: (view spoiler)["Then she climbs and goes seeking. (hide spoiler)] and I can'tfully decide whether that was exactly the right line to go there or too much of a tell. Actually, I think I'm leaning towards exactly right. I teased out the rest of the plot from that point on, but the journey was worth it even knowing the (likely) end.
