Akane smiled slightly as he walked along the ground, looking up at the sun as it glared down at him.
Jess stepped out of the drop ship and looked around in aw; she never thought she'd live to see what earth looked like. It was so much more beautiful then she ever could have dreamed.
Devon followed the crowd out the ship. He was awed by the beauty of this place. Of their old home. But he was also worried what if it was still dangerous for them?
Dropping down to the ground, Reese shoved her way through the crowd. She knew they didn't have time to stop and gawk at it. "So there's trees! Keep moving!" She yelled at them, shaking her head with a sigh as she emerged at the front of the crowd. She kept moving, stomping her way forward.
"Well, we're here." Akane muttered to himself as he looked around, smiling trying to ignore the loud girl who walked through the crowd.
Jess frowned at the girl who took the lead and decided to go off on her own. She snuck off around the drop ship and into the trees.
Sighing in irritation, Reese broke off from the group, moving after the girl that had decided oh so brilliantly to go off on her own. It was easy for her to catch up- she wasn't the leader of the group for nothing. "It isn't safe alone." she nodded pointedly to the pawprints on the muddy ground, obviously put there by some large predatory cat earlier. "Stick with the others." She ordered.
He sighed deciding to be upfront with things for one and decided to follow the rude girl quickly asking. "What's your problem exactly?"
Jess arched her brow, "I'm not alone if your here, and if it is," she pointed out, being a bit of a smart-a$$.
"Problem?" Reese laughed incredulously, turning on th new guy. "Unless you count having to keep everyone here alive and not being pleased when someone walks off alone when we don't know what dangers are here, I have no problem." The leader snapped, crossing her arms.
She rolled her eyes at the two and started fallowing the tracks, curious as to who-or what-made them.
"Glad to know you think you have such a huge entitlement." He said looking at her. "I mean what gives you the right to just come in here and think you have the right to lead?"
"I don't just have the right. The ones still in charge back home chose me, and you guys voted to accept me. So suck it up buttercup. I am not going to stand here and deal with this shit." Reese said dismissively, watching the girls idiocy. "You get eaten, it's not on my head." She shrugged.
"That is complete bull, they sent us down here to die, and you know it." He said following her. "So get off your damn high horse and don't act like you're above the rest of us."
"Just because they want us to die doesn't mean I'm lying. They'll still assign a leader, and you guys still all agreed. They want us to die and burn and get eaten, and I'm going to do my damnedest to make sure that doesn't happen." Reese hissed defensively. If there was one thing she hated above everything else it was when people thought she was lying when she wasn't. "If you're dense enough to ignore me, then I won't be sad when the panther gets you. I warned you, I'm still warning you, it's up to you to decide wether or not to listen." She called to Jess, seeming completely unconcerned.
"I'll send you a post card," she called back, to stubborn to go back. There was nothing here for her with these people, she liked doing things on her own.
((I do believe another member would like to join. He asked in chat:) just letting you all know. ))
"The Ark doesn't care about us, who are we, just screw ups the scum of society to them, they don't care if we die we were prisoners up there but down here we can be free." He said glaring at her before turning away.
((Oh I will. Just resting my brain. Might have one up tomorrow. One or two. Haha))
Reese snorted. "Now. Think about what I said. Now what you said. They aren't connected. At all. The Ark's opinions of how this should end have nothing to do with my goals for it. So what you say doesn't effect me." She told him patiently, as if examining to a small child. She rolled her eyes as she caught up to Jess again. "Yo. I'm here because you're less annoying then he is, and this way I can keep you alive. I'm Reese."
He rolled his eyes and walked away deciding he'd try his best to stay away from her.
Jess glanced at Reese, "Jess," she introduced herself poorly, "so miss leader, what did you do to get locked up?"
"Cars." Reese said, as if that was all the explanation needed. After a moment though, she did elaborate. "My friends and I. We'd steal 'em, soup 'em up, race. Let me tell you I was damn good at it. Never lost a race." She grinned as she reached her hands up to absently braid her long, almost black hair.
She nodded, her brown hair in a messy bun, "fascinating," she said sarcastically and stopped when the tracks vanished, "well, there goes my fun for the day."
Reese laughed cheerfully. "Oh, don't worry. My skills with engines and mechanics will come in handy, so my 'fascinating' past will pay off. Now come on darlin'. Let's get back to the ship. Otherwise you might get eaten by a panther and I am not putting up with that on my conscience."
Akane chuckled looking at the two coming back to the dropship and looked down.
"Nothing love, besides it's not you I'm chuckling at." He said.
"Then stop laughing at me." Reese snapped, though she was obviously more just irritated and annoyed them actually truly angry. She followed Jess, her arms crossed over her chest.
Jess looked at him confused, "then who are you laughing at!?" She demanded, annoyed by him calling her love.
"Nothing that concerns you, love." He replied walking towards her.
"Well I don't know your name, bye the way I'm Akane." He said.
"Thank you, Jess." He said. "So why are you here?"
"Why? Because the ark doesn't care about the lives of their youth and they dropped me down here with 99 other criminals," she hissed.
"You are right about that." He said nodding.
"Assault of a guard." He replied.
"No, it was a reasonable choice at the time and it was worth it in the end." He said.
"They wanted to float my parents, and when they tried to take them away, I tried to stab on of them in the throat."
