The Man Who Loved Children has been on my to-read list for ages. Anyone interested in a group read of it in 2015?

Maybe March or April... but open to whatever works for others.

Kris (krisrabberman) I've been meaning to read it too.

Chinook | 29 comments That's been sitting on my kindle since a Black Friday sale two years ago. I'm interested.

message 5: by Erik F. (new)

Erik F. | 29 comments I really want to read this, but I'm not sure about the scheduling. April may be fine. I'll try to join in when I can.

message 6: by Russell (new)

Russell | 44 comments I'll join in for this one as well, if everyone's still interested.

message 7: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments I'm in for March/April, hopefully!

message 8: by Erik F. (new)

Erik F. | 29 comments Are others still interested in this? I am. How about starting on April 1st?

message 9: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments I've got two other reads supposed to start April 1st, so I'd prefer a week's grace

message 10: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments I'll just start reading it when I find the time = )

I have to pass on this, sadly, but will try to read it before the year's end. Too many books to get to at the moment!

message 12: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments I'm feeling the same, is anyone else reading? I might led it slide down the schedule to, say, September haha

message 13: by Nate D (new)

Nate D (rockhyrax) | 55 comments I stumbled on a copy of this last month, and grabbed it at the behest of John Waters' top 5 books. I might join, whenever this happens. (later rather than sooner is entirely fine).

If Zanna is serious about September, and that works for Nate, maybe we could do it then?

Those reading now can do their own read, and we can do a belated one?

message 15: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments I am serious = )

message 16: by Russell (new)

Russell | 44 comments I'd be interested in a read of this later in the year! I was looking at picking it up soon, but have plenty to occupy myself with until September, so that'll fit for me.

message 17: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 10 comments I'm in the middle of The Little Hotel, which is quite enjoyable. The library has about 10 Stead novels, pretty much everything except the Man Who Loved Children.

message 18: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments Did anyone read The Man Who Loved Children? I've got it ready, but I forgot September had been mentioned and I haven't read it yet. I've got space next week or the week after or in December if anyone wants to buddy up?

message 19: by Zanna (new)

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments I've decided to start reading The Man Who Loved Children this week

Unforgettable, some scenes and characters, though I've not read it for a few years. And it evokes a place and time now gone.

Zanna (zannastar) | 337 comments Oh my gosh I think Sam Pollit is the most horrifically awful character I've ever met!
