I have added The Gun to my wish list on Amazon will definitely check. This author out his books look. Really good.
Yes, and the good thing is an economy of the words used. He didn't write 500 pages novels to tell a 100-page story. I like that.

Broken Empire is one of my all time favourite series. Jorg is such a memorable character!

I highly recommend “The Shadow Saint” by Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan (sequel to “The Gutter Prayer”). I absolutely love the world building here. The sequel is even better than the first in the series which was one of my favourite books last year. I’m currently reading “Princess of Blood” by Tom Lloyd which is also thoroughly enjoyable.
This year I’ve been struggling to find enough good GrimDark to keep me going. I’d love more suggestions :-D

I've heard some really great things about Gutter Prayer. I'm very much looking forward to reading it when I get a chance.

This was a great read. Unfortunately not a stand alone but the first in a series. It was an easier read than the Manifest Delusions of same author. A page turner :)Black Stone Heart
