Think I am going to read Gone Girl.

I've just received a set of Agatha Christie books for Christmas, so I'll be reading one of them for this

I've just read 'Moriarty' by Anthony Horowitz -- great Holmesian tribute from someone who has obviously spent a lot of time reading the originals...

I have read Motif for Murder by Laura Childs for this one...

The book was a fun cozy mystery unfortunately I found the "husband" storyline to be distracting because of how annoying the whole thing is... I would never allow myself to be treated the way the heroine does in this series. If I decide to stop reading this series, Shamus will be the reason why!

I finished the Gone Girl audiobook earlier this week. I had a feeling about what was going to happen in general from the beginning of the book, but the ultimate conclusion paints a picture of even more disturbing people and relationships than I had expected. It was entertaining, but I think going along with Heidi's idea of Agatha Christie would have been more satisfying for me.

Would Girl on the Train fit this category...someone who has read it?

Yes, definitely Michelle! Great book and absolutely fits both in both mystery and thriller.

The Girl on the Train

Just finished it. Enjoyable read.

I read Mallory's Oracle by Carol O'Connell for this prompt. It was an ok mystery.

I read "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins, and it was brilliant.

How was Hercule Poirot's Christmas? I'm thinking of using that for my "set during Christmas" prompt.

Oh, it's a classic. Like any of Christie's stuff. It's also a nice quick read!

I read lots of mysteries/thrillers every year and I'm always on the lookout for authors from countries I haven't "visited" yet. For this prompt I read The Girl on the Train, it was fantastic. I stayed up until almost 4 am to finish it, I could not put it down and I knew that even if I did, I wouldn't be able to sleep.

Reading "The Spy Who Came in from the Cold " by John LeCarre. Would that be considered a thriller?

In my opinion, yes!

I just finished Clouds of Witness by Dorothy L. Sayers. Great mystery!

I read Revival by Stephen King.

Just finished Paula Hawkins "The Girl on the Train". Loved it.

I've just read A Dark Lure by Loreth Anne White.

I read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time because it said it was a mystery but it certainly wasn't the typical mystery book. I'm going to still count it because just because it's not the typical format, doesn't mean it didn't have a question to be solved.

It was a very good read, but nothing like I expected. And that's okay. :)

I read quite a lot of mystery novels, so it was hard to choose just one, but I went with Eeny Meeny. This was my first M.J. Arlidge book and, boy, I'm so happy to have picked it up! I'm hooked on Helen Grace now :)

I couldnt keep up because of this challenge and the 1001 books to read before you die (children's and adults).

read Naked in Death

I just finished The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. The book is a retelling of 1,001 Nights as a murder mystery/spy thriller set in Ancient Iran. To be honest, it was the type of book whose conceit is better than its execution, and was a bit too generic YA girl power dystopia love triangle for my taste. If you like YA girl power dystopia love triangle though, I would definitely recommend it.
