laven (lavendelchen) | 321 comments what if the author was born in a city that now belongs to a different country than it used to when they were born. which country do i put in? and what if the city name changed, do i type in the new name or the one from when the author was born?

Emily | 18214 comments I would put the name of the city/country at the time of their birth. This is generally how Wikipedia lists birthplaces.

laven (lavendelchen) | 321 comments i guess you can just put the current country in and write the correct country in the bio

That sounds like a good solution "Mme X was born in Y (now known as, or now part of Z)"
