Maybe try The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz:

EMPATHY is by Ker Dukey. There is a sequel to it. It ends in an HEA but a lead in to a second book with another character. It may be out now. I'm gonna check that out now because I've been waiting for it.

EMPATHY 2 isn't out until February.

Just finished The Kane Trilogy ... Not super dark but both main characters are NUTS and there is a lot of dirty talk/alpha male, violence goin on. Spectacular books. Cannot recommend enough!
