Fisk: Spider-man is in Xavier Institute. Is he not? Then, why do I see that Building 7 in flames. Who dared to show stupid bravery? Thug1: Yes sir, Spider is after the OSCORP webbing and right now he is not in Downtown. I could contact the people who saw this bravery firsthand and get to you in a moment. Fisk: Then why are you wasting time talking to me. GET TO IT NOW!

Thug1 hurriedly called the thieves who were stealing from the Khan Shop. At this moment, they were the only thieves in town. Any other attempt at stealing by rookies would be looked down upon. So, if anyone was brave enough to attempt to fight actual brawlers, they would have to be here.

The phone was scared too. Of the Kingpin and quickly connected him to the brawlers. Thief 1: If this is about who was here to cause trouble. We don’ know. It was some new super team. They did stuff to the air. And they also had some sorta’ control over our body and gave us pain. One boy, 2 girls. The boy had a cool jacket. Nothing special about any of them tho.

Thug1 : Okay. If they get to you again, try to ask for their details. Nothing special means no mask, right? Thief 1: Ya, and also special outfits. As if they were going to some party. Over.
Thug1 : You are not talking to the radio. Stop acting so stupid. Boss won’t approve if you do something stupid in the shop and forget about the list. So, don’t forget THE LIST. Over and out.

He pressed the button to end the call. And then he went to answer the Kingpin. Thug1: Sir, it’s some new superhero team whose heroes do not wear masks. They also wore cool outfits as if they were going to some party and they controlled the air and human body. Fisk: New Heroes, hmm. This should be interesting.

(Please remember: Em is a Shadowhunter and therefore doesn't want to involve herself with mundane problems. And because she's generally glamoured, thugs without the Sight wouldn't be able to see her. Maybe say that there seemed to be more than 2 superheros, or that there was one superhero that was sometimes there and sometimes not (Em would have taken off her glamour to help hapless mundanes). Anyway, I guess Em is officially going to have to involve herself in mundane business. I can literally hear her sigh and roll her eyes!)

Fisk sat patiently on this sofa that he had got specifically made for his comfort. But he was uncomfortable and wondered whose fault it could be. The last person who made his workbench had carelessly left 3 splinters at the back corner of the table. Fisk noticed it during one of his fights. It was unfortunate. Both for Fisk and the Carpenter. Fisk noticed it because he was throwing this desk at someone. The carpenter had his life destroyed because of this small mistake. Fisk did get infection because of the unclean nature of the wound resulting from the splinters he had held onto. This did let some of the police into his crime life. Everyone heard the rumors but no one could ever do anything because Fisk kept himself clean. This time, he messed up. There was DNA on that desk and they just had to look at the right places. He got lucky. The policemen were all bought. Cheaply. He got lucky.

The carpenter was soon anonymously replaced in all his work by other carpenters. All his assignments were cancelled over the weekend when he was out of office. When he got back, it was already too late. He tried calling them back but his calls were not even picked up. Soon his family lost their jobs and some even lost their lovers. He thought that this was just bad luck and then he heard from one of Fisk’s men. “Art thou OK.” He cried deeply that night. He truly cried.
