I love Truman. He is the perfect compliment to Mercy. Truman is open and honest with his feelings, but he doesn't pressure Mercy. He is allowing her to wrap her head around the idea of being a couple. I expect Mercy to push back a little before she fully embraces Truman's love for her. I understand that completely. If your family turns against you because of have an opinion, surely some man can't be trusted with your heart. Also, I suspect that Mercy is afraid that Truman will want her to give up her career at some point. That is the way people in this area think.
Truman is great with Kaylie. He didn't shame her, but took her home to allow Mercy to work out how to be a surrogate mother. He didn't take sides either. I loved it.
I’m a big Truman fan, too, and echo your feelings about why, Sharon. He’s a good man and perfect for someone like Mercy. He’s not threatened by her strength, actually admires her for it. She will continue to throw up obstacles despite her shared love for him but he’s patient.
Truman handled Kaylie brilliantly, in front of her “friends,” with her in the car and with Mercy. I loved that he was steadfast in his decision that she had to tell Mercy. He couldn’t have been clearer.

Another Truman fan here. He's honest, up-front about his feelings, and very patient with Mercy. He knows he has to give her time. He also has her back when it comes to her family. He did the right thing with Kaylie. He took her out of the situation and made sure Mercy knew what happened.
Off-hand, I can't think what could pop up as future problems in their relationship.
