hope it works ...thanks srujan!!

Amanda Artist Cat (amandawholovesbooks) Haha, same here! I'm extremely scatterbrained and Neville Longbottom-y, but I get used to it!! xD

So, basically, I'm having problems getting motivated to do the things I want to do, but if I don't get it done, I feel guilty and as though I'm wasting my time.
I feel like I'm drifting through my days, doing absolutely nothing and feeling bored ALLLLLL the time :(

Andrea2773 (berlinshark) | 26 comments Hi !
I completely understand how are you feeling right now, it’s not easy to stop and think about what you should do or not. It is a huge decision and sometimes you could feel like you’re drowning in a glass of water, thinking and thinking if β€œthis is the right thing to do, what happen if I make the wrong decision” (those are normal questions that everybody have had make to they selfs). However don’t worry, if you’re considering different options just analyzed them; try to do online courses or take specific clases related to your dreams, try to focus on how you see your self in 5 or 10 years, I know you will have your answer at the time. Don’t freak out if you made a mistake, you’re a human being and is completely normal to restart again if you want :)
Just think and follow your heart.

Amanda Artist Cat (amandawholovesbooks) Well said, Andrea 😊!!

Amna (iamnaa) | 340 comments Thank you Andrea. But the problem is I don't know what my dream is and I can't find out my heart's desire. I should choose something soon . If it wasn't for Covid virus rn I should be enrolling for a college.

I am under a lot of pressure to choose a course soon. I am losing my mind and i am feeling so low as I can't even figure out about my life.

This would be really very helpful, Check this out.

Andrea2773 (berlinshark) | 26 comments Don’t worry, where are you from ???
There most be a little thing that you like, maybe try something related to the books or words, if you like it that much. Or you could try one β€œelemental” course (literature, maths, science).
Any hobby could help you, just thing about it.
I know that in the US you can try different courses in the college and find out what you would love to study and get your degree with that chose.
Don’t feel blue about it, you have all the time of your life to find out what you want, and the perfect time will come. The universe work in a wonderful way, all the paths connect at the right moment ;)

Let me tell you about my personal experience, I have always know that a want to become a Doctor since I was just a little girl. But when the time came in, I was really confused, I was thinking about studied chemistry instead of medicine, so I just decided to go to a class focus on medical emergencies, I spend almost 5 moths with that class and I noticed that my real dream and what I want to do in my life is Help people. There are different ways to everybody to find their paths.

Andrea can you help me personally. If you are ready you can message me. Anyone who is willing to help me can message me. It will be a great help to me.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Set up a reward system. Do one subjects worth of homework (or whatever it is you're doing!) Once you finish it, reward yourself with 5-10 minutes of goodreads!

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

That's what I had for the past two years ish, but I took a test and reallized it might be budding anorexia. I eat more now, but healthier, and I excercise for 15 - 30 minutes every day. Try to figure out an attainable food schedule or menu for yourself so it's easier.

Amanda Artist Cat (amandawholovesbooks) I feel exactly the same as you all, so don't feel too bad about it!! :)
My mum tells me to set little goals, set my sights lower, because I can't see the forest from the trees. (Or is it woods from the trees?? Oops!)
I keep getting distracted all the time, I do my hobbies and read too much, I forget to do homework (EEK!!), and loads of silly stuff!
Sometimes I just need a brake, then, when I come back, I can see more clearly. (Hopefully.) πŸ˜‰

parents. parents, parents, parents. They're such a pain in the [filtered language].
They're also quite literally wrecking my mental health. I have been suicidal for the past...almost three years. Because of how they treat me. They're not exactly abusive but what they do and how they act just really really wrecks my self-esteem and I feel like they don't care about me at all.
They call me a little sh- and they have such high expectations for me, and they talk down to me without realizing it. I still remember them threatening to disown me when I was four. I feel like they only say "I'm proud of you" when I do something they like, like get a high school scholarship or play an orchestra concert.
There's more but this is already really long...
I don't know, I'm just sick of all this. I tried to kill myself yesterday. I'm just done.

Oh my goodness, that is simply dreadful of them πŸ˜₯! Wrecking your self esteem is one of the worst thing a parent can do. They should never ever treat you like that.
But this is no reason to not want to live. I'm not telling you what to do, I won't say I understand, because I never will, but I think there is so much more to life. Parents are important, or the most horrible people I have ever heard about, but they aren't everything. They. Don't. Define. You.
Please consider it. Please?

I think I'll be okay? I mean, this is the most recent in a long, long line of attempts and incidents and fun [filtered] with my family...I have ups and downs, I was doing really well for a few months so I guess I had to have another swing.
It's been fourteen years, nearly fifteen. Four or five more and I'll be in college, and moved out, and by then I'll have grown enough not to care as much (hopefully. Also, hopefully I survive)
thing is, I never actually go through with it once I plan to. I always choose a method that would give me a really good chance of survival, despite planning ways that would permanently and neatly end things...I'm just too scared.
Two years ago I was planning to die. Still here. I didn't think I'd make it to 2019 for a while but it's nearly 2021...I don't know. I should be okay.

I sure hope so, with all my heart! You can always talk to me, but only if you feel like it :) I won't raise the subject voluntarily, but just know I am willing to listen any time :)

@Srujan
every time I bring it up, they laugh it off or get mad. They found out I was suicidal two years ago but they think I'm "over it." Last year my mom told me that I probably hadn't been suicidal at all, I was just "stressed" and my "teenage hormones had been acting up". I couldn't possibly be suicidal because look at how good my life is, I play two instruments and live comfortably!! Never mind that I never wanted to play piano. Never mind that I'm still dealing with grief and hallucinations. I have it too good to be suicidal. I'm just being ungrateful.

I’ve always had a problem with pulling out my hair due to stress and anxiety. But with coronavirus and stuff, my anxiety has gotten really bad. So I needed more help, I guess.

Try keeping a pencil in your hand and a paper at hand. So whatever happens, the next time, consciously scribble or try drawing a line when you feel that your hand might touch your hair soon. Later on, you'll have left the habit and then leave the paper-pencil thing. Just try a few times. Might work well.
