Roman Piso What I see in those who do not get anything from 'The True Authorship of the New Testament' is that most of the readers are casual readers who are not experts in the area of the subject matter. In short, they are not scholars who can appreciate it.

To understand it as a scholar would, you would have to make use of the references given and verify them. I have often talked about my first impression of it.

And what had convinced me that I should look into it further is that he said that Tacitus was Neratius Priscus. I missed that in my own research, but when I checked, he was correct.

I don't think that one needs to be an expert to appreciate Reuchlin's work, but when a person does not do the follow up work that is necessary to verify it, then they are left with a feeling of uncertainty. I can understand that. I wouldn't have believed it myself if I hadn't done the work to verify it.

Again, Reuchlin gives references. But you need to go and read them. I suggest that one go to a local college or university library. It would be far too expensive for the average person to purchase all of the books needed to develop a working knowledge of the history of the time; the people, places and events.

People in general, do not know anything about properly studying ancient history or ancient texts. They are not familiar with primary sources and methodology. That is why I tried to write a book on the subject that is easier for the layperson ('Piso Christ').

Roman Piso Remember this, Christians (and other religionists) HATE anything that exposes their beliefs as a fraud. They will buy &/or review books such as this just so that they can give them a black eye (bad review). So bear that in mind. Here is something else that you should know about what Christians and other religious believers are now doing (particularly if they can't attack their opposition by hacking them, etc.)

Why Misinformation Is Being Posted About The Book 'Piso Christ'
(Roman Piso and Jay Gallus, Regarding Piso Christ, 01-07-2015)

Beginning around 2009 to the present, we've seen several negative comments, misinformation, and even outright lies being posted online both on various sites and as sites (so that they will appear not only in search engines, but at or near the top of them). Search engines are being used to misinform.

Why is there being so much time and effort being put into giving people a false impression of the book 'Piso Christ' and the rest of the work having been done in the area of the Roman creation of Christianity? The Answer: Christian believers and other religious people feel threatened by it. That is because it cuts through religion to the core, to the truth with regards to the whole matter of religion. It exposes it for what it actually is - a fraud!

We have taken a deeper look into some of the sites online that have negative things to say about our work. Currently, there are about 3 of these sites near the top of the Google search index.

One. http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Roman_Piso

Two. http://www.tektonics.org/lp/pisocake.php

Three. (Video Ignorance & Misinformation) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11Nyp...

When people are doing a search for 'Piso Christ' and/or 'Roman Piso', these sites almost always show up in the index before any of the real and true information sites show up. How and why is this, are these site owners taking the time to tweak their sites to "bully" their way up to the top of the listings? And/or they paying to have them listed at or near the top? Really? They feel THAT threatened by our information, that they have to put in this much time and effort just to try to prevent people from seeing our information about it first? There's even a category listing now, "Piso Christ Debunked".

BTW, I've seen the same tactics being used in search engines in an effort to prevent people from being correctly informed about other important subjects as well, such as when people do a search for Secular Humanist. What we find in those instances is that the listing will appear at first to have been written by an objective person, as if the information were written by someone who is giving accurate and true information about the subject matter; but instead, we learn that the individual is actually a Christian who is writing about Secular Humanists so as to deliberately misinform people.

So what do we find when we look further into the authors of the negative remarks about the book Piso Christ and the rest of our work? At first, we see that the author of each generally makes it appear that he is an objective person, even perhaps a Freethought individual. In at least one instance, the author appears to be anonymous. But if we look further, we find out his name. I just happen to know an acquaintance of that individual, who informed me that a) the person is a religious fanatic, b) a Christian (posing as a Freethought person or even an Atheist at times), and c) has deliberately hidden his true identity, so as to spread misinformation with impunity. And d), he does this sort of thing quite a lot.

Once someone has taken the time and trouble to do something like this, it is very difficult to let the public know that they have been taken in by an individual such as this. But that is the purpose of this site. We feel that once people are informed of this and more aware of what some people are doing, that they will then be a bit more cautious and not simply accept things like this. Always remember to go to the source if at all possible. And WE are the source for info about the book 'Piso Christ', not THEM. This is OUR information...
