I love how Simon is okay with not being sure what his sexuality is. All he knows is, I’m attracted to my boyfriend, and he doesn’t feel the need to figure out soon, or figure it out at all. It’s really good for teens to see that in literature, especially if they’re feeling that themselves. I love how Simon is unsure and Baz knows he’s unsure, and is okay with it. Rainbow Rowell herself said that Simon doesn’t like labels. He just identifies as queer.
