Maia Chowdhury (maiakumaribreechowdhury) | 3 comments Hi, I'm Maia, and recently joined this group. I don't see any active conversations here so not sure if you are still "gathered." Wanted to let you know I will be reviewing inspiring eco books in the year ahead, on my blog. Always happy for new recommendations for a good read. Happy New Year!

James Kraus | 6 comments Hi Maia,
I am new here & new on Goodreads, & I am feeling my ways along. I taught Forestry for 30 years & I am now retired.
My novel, THE FORESTER deals with how different people view, value, & conflict in their relationships with nature. It is also a love story, an adventure story, & I think an environmental story for our time. The classic environmental conflict materializes in a marriage & Kirk, THE FORESTER, must find his place in nature by pursuing a reluctant journey requested by his dying wife. I don't want to give the story away, so I will stop & let you decide if this is a story that you might be interested in.

Patrick Murphy (patrickmm) | 3 comments Hi Maia:

I have enjoyed The Snow Leopard, by Peter Matthiessen, and Crossing Open Ground, by Barry Lopez. Desert Solitaire, by Ed Abbey, and even the Monkey Wrench Gang, by Abbey as well...

Best wishes.
