What have you read to get you through this shelter in place? I LOVED After the End - fabulous. I always hesitate to begin a new book because I know it will completely absorb me - no TV, no games on my Phone,,,, But my next selection is "This is Happiness" by Niall Williams.

What are you reading??

Don Alesi | 3 comments I have been all over the place in my reading. I enjoy reading about the average soldier in WW1 and recently finished "Storm of Steel about a German soldier in the trenches of WW1. I have now begun reading a modern day Western Called "Free Ranch" about a retired business man who inherits a Wyoming ranch with all kinds of strings attached. So far so good. I probably read about one book a week and afterword plan on looking for a book about cabin living as that is what my wife and I are doin now.

Don, Did you find some cabin living books? My husband happens to like books about cabin living, so I have a couple to recommend. He really enjoyed Cabin fever : a suburban father's search for the wild by Tom Montgomery-Fate, as well as Cabin lessons : a nail-by-nail tale : building our dream cottage from 2x4s, blisters, and love by Spike Carlson. Happy reading!

A lighthearted romance is perfect for quarantine reading! I just finished Beach Read by Emily Henry and the smart, sweet, romantic tale of two writers -- January the happily-ever-after romance writer and Gus the tortured literary writer -- was a great escape from reality. Warm-hearted and humorous, yet tugging at your heart strings -- pure magic! Next up for me, Afterlife by Julia Alvarez (available on Hoopla!).

Thanks so much. Will check them out. I just stared a book from 1911 about making shelters and cabins in the wilderness, Lots of fun history. We do like our comfortable cabin. Especially, the indoor plumbing and satellite dish.
