We are very sad to report the death of Swedish author and translator Maj Sjöwall,often referred to as the Queen of Nordic Noir.
She has passed away today at the age of 84 after a long illness.Together with husband Per Wahlöö, she is best known for the 'Martin Beck' crime novels.She won the Swedish cultural Lenin Award in 2013.
RIP Maj Sjöwall 25 September 1935-29 April 2020
