Hi Michael and Robin. I just finished the series. Loved it! Thanks so much. I have a question about Tesh. I first thought of it while reading this book, but it could apply to a number of the books in the series. It involves why the Galatians did not kill him - other than the obvious plot problem that would have created for you :-) - as soon as his story (last survivor of the massacre of his village) became widely known. They certainly could have arranged a “training accident”. Was it because of their arrogance and indifference toward Rhunes? Seems like had they thought about it, they would have realized that he knew who was responsible for the massacre. Interested in your thoughts. Thanks again!

Hey Bruce, Thanks for reading. So there are a few things with regards to Tesh and the Galantians. (view spoiler)[ As to him being the last survivor, that in itself is not a problem -- the assumption had always been that he wasn't in the village and therefore wasn't a witness. Only a few (Nyphron and Sebek), knew he had been in Duryea and as such knew who did what and when that came out, Nyphron did order his death. But then the raow attacked and Tesh ended up saving Nyphron's life so he did the whole "life-debt" thing and from that point on he was protected. Given that Tesh hadn't told others about the misdeeds, they figured he was content to let those dogs remain sleeping since he was getting what he wanted from them--which was the best training there was when it came to fighting.

The one thing that they (Nyphron, Sebek, and the other Galantians) didn't know was that Tesh was hunting them. If they had known that, they would find it "amusing" more than "threatening" as they wouldn't think a Rhune could kill any conscious Fhrey let alone a Galanatian. (hide spoiler)]

@Bruce - no apologies required! It wasn't a waste of my time whatsoever. I like discussing the details of the books with readers. And, yes, even I forget things sometimes.
