Here's an awesome video I found on youtube for another one of Hawthorne's books: The Fall of the House of Usher, animated with subtitles, Read by Christopher Lee
Sounds good. I just got it through Serial Reader. It’s an app that delivers about 15 minutes of reading to you a day. I have only used it once before (for a short book). This is my experiment to see if I like it for a longer book.

Also, whoo Christopher Lee! Same guy from Lord of the Rings, right?

Yep. He did an awesome job narrating the video!
Noooo... you're fine. I just have a weirdly good memory for stuff like that. That just means it's gonna be creepier than if it was written by Hawthorne.
I finished it-- and out of curiosity, (once I had finished the book), I watched the 1940 movie with Vincent Price, though the movie departed from the book greatly.
I just finished this book. It was slow at the start, but got better the farther I got into it. I figured out Holgrave's secret at around two-thirds of the way into the book.
