Cool/ In difference heroine

I know a lot of people like this book but while reading it I kept thinking it's reminding me of Fifty Shade of Grey and Crossfire series. It just didn't do it for me. However I like the picture that the author tried to establish for Bianca; cool, indifference, and stand her ground kind of a person. Does anyone know any books with the same characteristic of Bianca?
I thought Sloane in The Blood and Roses series was simialar to Bianca. She was independent in her thinking, but Zeth was something she couldn't resist.
