Wow!! You are so organized Michelle! I can't believe you already have your entire year planned out. I'm just kinda winging it (you'd expect better from the mod). Really awesome plan :) and thanks for being so active in the group
Aww, thanks. I'm sure it will change a dozen times before the year is out but I wanted to have an outline in case I have a busy week and don't have the time to spare to seek out a book. Winging it works too! Lists just make me happy, haha. Thanks for starting the group! I'm having a blast already. You'll have to tell me if I get too bossy britches over here with my participation, sometimes I speak out of turn. :/
Wow! It's impressive! You suceed to find a book for each week! I will probably take one or two of your ideas =)
Take as many ideas as you like. I don't know if they'll all stay the same by the end of the year, but it is a start. ;)
Michelle wrote: "You'll have to tell me if I get too bossy britches over here with my participation, sometimes I speak out of turn. :/ "It's fine! Between me & Taylor being in college, having some help is great. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. Participation is what makes the group work.
Have you read Atonement before? It's my pick for week 11 also, but I've never read it before, so I'm looking forward to that week. And I have high expectations :-)
Marina, I have not. I've always wanted to. That seemed as good a time as any to give it a go, right? You'll have to keep me updated on your thoughts as you're reading. :)
Thanks Stephanie. I'm having a lot of fun trying things outside of my normal reading comfort zone. I just have to pick up the pace a tad. ;)
2015 Reading Soundtrack
Instead of little mini-reviews, since I linked my full review for each of my reads (and haven't actually finished reviewing most of them), I thought for grins and giggles I'd create a soundtrack for my reads. Nothing like combining my love of music and reading in an attempt to explain my overall feeling of a book... so, yeah, lets just go with it.
Lets call this Volume 1 with more to follow.
The Wicked + The Divine, Vol. 1: The Faust Act by Kieron Gillen
Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey
I've seen the world, lit it up as my stage now. Channeling angels in the new age now. Hot summer days, rock 'n' roll, the way you play for me at your show. And all the ways I got to know your pretty face and electric soul.
Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed
Skin by Zola Jesus
Safety net don't hold me now in this hole I've fallen down. Secret home I made and found a new way to breathe. Skin come off, skin come off, I've had enough. And in the sickness, you have faith. And in the thickness you'll find me, finally.
Lips Touch: Three Times by Laini Taylor
Bones by MS MR
Dig up her bones but leave the soul alone, let her find a way to a better place. Broken dreams and silent screams, empty churches with soulless curses. We found a way to escape the day. Candy bar creep show, my highs hit a new low. Marinate in misery like a girl of only seventeen. Man made madness and the romance of sadness. Beautiful dance that happened by chance.
Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews
Tether by Chvrches
In a place where we don't have a prayer. There's a tether that's keeping me there. Trade our places, take no chances, bind me 'til my lips are silent. Stay where you are ever after. Chasing things that we should run from. Will we ever get away from this place? It's an image that's burned on my chest. For a moment you need me to stay cold blooded and drifting away. I'm feeling capable of seeing the end. I'm feeling capable of saying it's over.
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey (I had to do two for this because Cassie's experience is so different from Zombie's.)
Cassie
Moths by Racing Glaciers
Blood all over, but I feel alright. Lay me down now in this red stone light. I knew you were danger, I knew you were harm. But I kept on coming like a moth to a flame.
Ben/Zombie
How by the Neighbourhood
How could you tell me that I'm great, when they chew me up, spit me out, pissed on me? Why would you tell me that it's fate, when they laughed at me, every day, in my face? They say the end is coming sooner, but the end's already here. I said today is but a rumor that we'll laugh at in a year. Or two, or three, or four, or five, whatever.
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
Icarus by Bastille
Out on the front doorstep drinking from a paper cup, you won't remember this. Living beyond your years, acting out all their fears. You feel it in your chest. Your hands protect the flames from the wild winds around you. Icarus is flying too close to the sun. And Icarus's life, it has only just begun. It's just begun.
Young Widows Club by Alexandra Coutts
Young Blood by Birdy
We lie beneath the stars at night our hands gripping each other tight. You keep my secrets, hope to die. Promises, swear them to the sky. The bittersweet between my teeth, trying to find the in-betweens. Fall back in love eventually.

So I just now actually registered that I stole your plan name for the 2016 challenge. Totally unintentional. Sorry!
Nope, I think I stole it from you. I just changed it to that because it was ever-changing but I didn't realize it was yours, haha. I think I subconsciously must have seen it somewhere and kept it in my head. Oops!
