She was feeling lonely. She hated her beauty and her money. She knew people were only attracted to her because of these two things. Honestly, she hated herself. Until, she met Brooklyn, who made sure that she was loved. Brooklyn was her first boyfriend. They had known each other forever, but they started dating when Ruby was in her freshmen year and Brooklyn was in his sophomore. He made her feel beautiful again. He made her feel like she was worth something. He got back her friends.
They were together was two years, but then a disaster struck. One night when Brooklyn was driving home, he got into an accident and unfortunately he passed away. The next few months for Ruby were the worst. She was broken and lost. But, she finally grew over it. She knew that Brooklyn would want her to move on so she did, or at least is still in the process to. She is fighting this war alone, because even though her friends stuck around after Brooklyn’s death, she did not want to bother them and make them pity her.
