Being part of the “at risk group,” this time has been so frustrating. I’m lucky enough, however, to share a home with my daughter and her family, which includes three grandsons. Sometimes a blessing; sometimes a curse. It’s always LOUD! Lol. But it has been such a great opportunity to work with the two younger boys (ages 4 and 20 months) to learn new things. And the 8 year old is an avid reader so have been able to share and discuss books with him.
Thanks again for the book club, Krista! A great getaway!

I really wanted to read this book because I heard so many good things about Diane Chamberlain books and how they would be perfect fit for me. Now we will see if they were right ;)
I am working only once or twice a week so I also spend days at home. I live with my parents but they are not permitted to go out because they are high risk group because of their age. So I do the grocery etc. shopping in every two days. I workout at home more frequent than usual, read almost the same amount and watch some TV series.
I also watch & connect with my Booktube friends more often than usual. My recommended books list getting huge every day :)

Happy reading, everyone!!

This past week has been a good one. I became a great grandma again on April 29th. I made May baskets this week and today I delivered them to my neighbors, some shut-ins and some of my grandkids. This was so rewarding for me. I highly recommend doing some little act of kindness for someone if you can. You will be the one who is blessed.

Been working from home so it's been hard. A highlight is my nephew being born during this time. He was born 3 months early, weighing 2 lbs, 7 oz but is doing so well. He continues to grow stronger everyday. We hope he gets to come home soon...maybe by Mother's day.

I have found some joy in the stillness brought on by the pandemic. Usually the kids have activities every afternoon, and I have to rush to get out the door and rush to get dinner on the table. No more! I am also looking forward to a possible change of pace in my career. My ER has been unusually slow, so I cannot get any hours. I have applied to a few additional positions in home health. It will be fun to explore.

I am a librarian for a public library. We have been closed to the public, offering curbside pick up of holds, since the end of March. As of May 1 our main library is now open for limited service. I've been working the whole time (and feel lucky for that) so it hasn't been as big of a change for me, simply because I am out of my house every day and interacting with other library staff members.

I wish our library was able to have things processed. I especially miss my book club.

Who will be joining in with The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain this month? I know it might be a bit harder to get ahold of this one. I know my Hoopla app (through my library) has it available and it was recently a Kindle deal for just $2.99. I hope many of you are able to get it and read along this month.
I know the past 6 weeks or so have introduced a new (hopefully temporary) normal to our lives. I hope and pray you're all well and safe and healthy. I'd love to hear how you're doing. I'd also love to hear a highlight for you from the past 6 weeks. Maybe something you've been able to do that you were putting off, or a friend you've reconnected with, a way you've helped others, or just that you've stayed sane with extra littles at home all day. Let's hear some positivity from the past few weeks.
Looking forward to reading with you all!
