I can’t explain how amazing it was to read this again. Harry Potter hits like home and there’s nothing we need more than that right now. Most of us have a lot of memories and emotional baggage attached to this story. I still can remember the pure joy and excitement every time a new book or a new movie was released. Hogwarts was also my door to the literature world! I always loved books, but Harry was the first story I actually fell in love with, this series made me understand how magic (?) books can be.

It’s also interesting to notice how the Philosopher’s stone is simple (and how the content of the books matures along with the characters and with the readers), and how the book and the movie are slightly different, like in moments when Hagrid tells Harry the whole story about Voldemort or even on little details about the personality of some characters. Dumbledore especially got my attention because in this book he is a lot more playful, funnier, and even passionate about sherbet lemon, for example ❤️

In many ways, this book is a story about love, friendship, and support. The love Lily felt for her son, protected Harry not only in that moment but for the eternity, that indelible mark that he’ll carry forever, way more powerful than some scar. Finding support and friendship in the arms of people you never thought you’d met, of people who want you exactly as you are. That we can achieve great things alone, but we can achieve even greater things with our friends. The statement that family is not always blood-related and the beauty of finding a family where you least expected, how beautiful it is to belong somewhere. ✨

It’s amazing to know that Hogwarts will always be there for us, even after all this time. With that said, I was thinking about extending this reading so we could read the other 6 books together – and even watch the movies too. This would be a bigger project and I’d like to know if you guys have interesting in doing that, besides the book of the month we usually read. Let me know what you think!

So, tell me, everything you felt while reading this again (or for the first time) and what Harry Potter means to you!
