Strangely, I was looking over my library and was wondering if Judith Butler would make an appearance on here :) I own Gender Trouble and wouldn't mind participating. June would be fine to start for me.
That's great, Yolande! June is still far away so I'm just going to wait and see if others will join us before I add the book etc.
I'll definitely try and join in reding "Gender Trouble", has been on my tbr since university, but I never got round to reading it.Will be nice to read it this year, when I also plan to join in the reading of "The Second Sex" - finally. :)
Great! I'll add it to the shelves then and make an additional thread for the discussion. We can figure out a schedule when we get a bit closer to June :)
hey everyone! I'm still up for reading this, but the end of this semester is a bit more intense than I expected so I wouldn't be able to start until June 25 or something. so we could either do that if people are still interested, or you could just start 1 June and I'll join you later :)
I definitely want to read it and will try to start it as soon as possible (whith the 50 other books I'm reading at the same time... ;) ). I had planned to get to it the first or second week of June probably. But I'll be up for discussion of it later in June, too! :)
(And knowing me and my never keeping up with any schedule I might only start later anyway...)
Looking forward to this one!

After being taught her theory countless of times, I figured 2015 would be the year in which I would move beyond the introduction of Bodies That Matter: On the Discursive Limits of "Sex" and I'd actually read Gender Trouble.
Anyone who wants to join me? I was thinking of reading this over the summer, starting in June or something.
