I'm picking this book simply because I am already 300 pages into this 1400 page goliath and I need a head start.

Don't mess with the clown, keep reading ;)
I didn't read this one, but I'm sure it's a great book (King is kind of my comforting writer, which is a little weird).

I ended up having to stop reading his books. He has such an amazing knack for getting right under your skin & into your psyche - or at least mine!

I just finished this book a few months ago. There were lots of non-horror parts to this book, but the few truly horror scenes were seriously scary.
I read this book when I was in 5th grade. Took me the whole year to finish because of the fact I was in school and had homework to do as well.
What a beautiful book. I could hear, taste and feel this book if you know what I mean. His descriptions are brilliant. The only problem is the nightmares it has given me. Oh well, nightmares are kind of like roller coasters. Scary as hell but loads of fun.

Whaaaat? You totally should read it, because you're right, this is a GREAT book.
I was going to read this as my Week 22 Challenge (A book that scares you), but as I was downloading the audiobook, I saw that it's a whopping 45 hours long!! I know I'm late to the game, but I'm using this as my Week 1 challenge. How long did it take you guys to finish it? How much drag should I expect in this book?
I gave up on this book halfway through. Life is too short to read books that one finds no interest in. Hope you guys had a better experience!
