Having just read
Across Many Mountains: A Tibetan Family's Epic Journey from Oppression to Freedom
by Yangzom Brauen, Xinran's
Sky Burial: An Epic Love Story of Tibet
sounds very enticing.I'll try to keep an eye out for what you all choose to read and when.
If you read Sky Burial: An Epic Love Story of Tibet, I would love to join you. I am planning on reading it this year.
Alright then. Let's read Sky Burial: An Epic Love Story of Tibet - how does a March-April time slot sound?
May or later would be better. But if the rest of you want to read in March or April, go ahead. (My daughter is getting married in mid-April so I'm trying not to commit to extra reading around that time.)
Mid-June would be good for me. After thinking about it more, I could do March 1 but wouldn't want to read it later in March because of other commitments. Which would be better for the group?
Yay! It is awesome to have you for this group read as well, Kris.I'll make a discussion thread soon then. So if anyone has any objections to the timing or title to be read, please let us know now.

Her The Good Women of China: Hidden Voices was a harrowing reading experience because of its focus on the deplorable treatment of women in China during the Cultural Revolution. I'd certainly like to read more of her works and wouldn't mind a reading buddy or two.
