We picked some new moderators a few weeks ago, and will let everyone know if we think we need another one :)

i dont even remember i had it for an assignment for history
i just finished the Great Depression i never learned about the Dust Bowl.
Oh haha lol.The Dust Bowl happened during the Great Depression (making things worse than they already were), impacting the agricultural Midwest the hardest. Due to a number of factors (a drought, over farming without letting the earth replenish the nutrient rich and thicker soil leaving the dusty soil on top) as well as wind, the Midwest basically became a mini desert and worsened living conditions for farmers (and others) during the Depression.
Haha no problem! And that was in no way a thorough (or even good) explanation of the Dust Bowl so if you're really intersted in the topic I'd suggest looking into it more. There's some videos and pictures of people literally sweeping piles of dust and sand out of their house and off the porch.
Does anyone have any suggestions for fantasy/ dystopian books appropriate for 12-13 year olds? Besides Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and Divergent.
Lockwood and Co! It kinda doesn’t fit the genre, but it’s still really good!
Maybe either the Maze Runner series or The Neptune Project? I read both of those series when I was around that age and loved them!
A couple different suggestions: -The Magisterium Series (coauthored by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black) The Iron Trial is the first book
-The Unwanteds series
-The Spirit Animals series put out by scholastic Wild Born

Weird question, but does anyone have any recs with a group of kids who are assassins or in gangs, etc? Like in Six of Crows or These Violent Delights.

So does anyone know how to leave a goodreads group? Not this one but there is one I want to leave and I don’t know how.
The next is for moderators mainly. When will you be looking for new moderators?
