Meran It is a bit like Girls, but not wholly. If you'd like to read my 5 starred review, go here:

The book gave me a lot of understanding, and respect, for Lena. I'm a fence rider on Girls… sometimes I like it, sometimes I get tired of the White Privileged Entitled Girl Club. But she's ~honest, and portrays the WPEGC as it is, no embellishments, and doesn't worship it either. So, no excuses, not for Lena :D

I haven't looked at your book list; I don't usually do that compare thing (sometimes I do if someone friends me and I have NO idea why, lol), so I'm not sure if this IS one you'd like..

I sometimes do spoilers, sorry, but I believe I didn't on this one. (I try not to.. just like to give the tone of the books, my reactions, that kind of thing.)

If you like Girls, you'll recognize some of the people and events in the book.

I'm reading this book too, and I've found so far that not only is the author under 30, but a lot of the themes she writes about apply to readers under 30 as well. I'd be interested to see if people reading other books find the same...
