Well, I read Tender is the Night last year, but this month I'm reading Tess of the D'Ubervilles by Hardy.
I've only heard positive things about Jude, but I haven't checked it out. I read Return of the Native for high school which I wasn't thrilled with at the time, but I think it might be time for a postgraduate reread.
Am currently reading "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. It's really quite beautiful. I like the short chapters. Keeps the narrative moving along. Will pick up "Tender Is the Night" when I finish.
I just started reading Warm Bodies and I'm stunned by its tone. A very reflective zombie as a protagonist. But joke aside, I love the philosophic, somehow depressive tone of it. I expected to be entertained by it in a lighter, humourous way, but this is more. Very promising start :)
I started War and Peace as a quarter-long read because I've always meant to read it and Cranford for a classics group. I also plan to read Xingu for an A-Z challenge to get the toughest letter out of the way. And I will read The Longest Day to include something non-fiction which I want to read each month. Not sure what else.
I'm just about to start This House of Grief. And following is Laurinda, The Promise and The End of Everything - all for my Literary Exploration challenge
Started Flags in the Dust and The Talented Mr. Ripley. I might have to wait until February for Tender Is the Night.
Got done with
It about a man trying to find his way in life.
1 I really find The writing so real that I felt like I was there. I fell like the writer really got it down what it would be like for something with a disability . I find that most writers do not know how to do that.
2 The plot was good and I really like how the writer got the reader in to the story.
3 I really like how he took risks in this book that help me with my writing even so I am a new writer.
people should read this book

I read and really enjoyed The Beautiful American. I liked We Are Not Ourselves and The Hundred-Year House and really didn't like The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher. I just started The Girl on the Train and that seems good. Next up is Etta and Otto and Russell and James and some Charles Todd mysteries.
now reading 1984 by George Orwell, wow it captured me since the first page, I didnt wanted to put the book down, what a great writting style. Im loving it so far.
