Best Author
I nominate Nevermore by Kelly Creagh. Her books have intricate plots, likeable/relatable/deeply-thought-out characters, and her writing style is elegant and beautiful.
Kiera CassI meet her at a book signing this year and she just is an awesome person. I was actually there to see another author and was trying to read a book from each one that was at the event. If you haven't seen her you should watch her videos. I loved her books and it was my biggest surprise find this year.
Victoria Schwab (specifically for Vicious). She makes such intricate characters and you can really see the ways they think and what seems 'right and logical' to them.
Markus zusak is the best author ever. He wrote the book thief, I am the messenger, underdogs, Fighting Ruben wolfe, and getting the girl. His writing is so descriptive. I have bought all his books and am saving for first printing signed copy of the book thief for 400 dollars.

Absolutely Cassandra Clare. Rarely in all fiction is there an author brave enough to include ranging sexualities in their works. Plus, her story-telling is fabulous.
Harlee wrote: "Rick Riordan! I loved the PJ series but I think I love the HoO series even more!"Yes!
Jennifer E Smith. She wrote books like The Geography of You and Me and The Statistical Probabilty of Live at First Sight. Her books are so cute and never fail to make me smile :)
Maggie Stiefvator for the Raven Cycle series. She is the of amazingly out there cliffhangers. They always blow my mind.
My favorite author is Lauren Stewart. She can write any genre. She has written a fantasy series, a chick lit funny book, a paranormal novel, a paranormal short story, and a romance novel. So far, that is. They are all excellent, memorable, and favorites. So, I nominate Lauren Stewart. :)
Richelle Mead :) She is Amazing:)
