The Seasonal Reading Challenge discussion

I had planned to read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe but realized that it wasn't written until 1959, and I am unsure of the month of publication. Buddy Holly died in early 1959, so is this book cutting it too close? Thanks.

Note: Goodreads says it was published in 1958, but my copy says 1959.

Diane, I used this book for this task. I can't remember which site I looked at (some literary publication site that came up during a Google search) but it stated that the book was published in 1958.
I didn't realize that there was a discrepancy in the publishing dates.
