2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

I got this book from Book Riot but never got a chance to read it.

This is my first book to read by Lauren Beukes, and thought that it was great. I really liked the way that the characters came to life through the creative details of their actions.

Horror is one of those genres that I'm just now getting into, and I'm noticing that it is one of those that don't really show it's scary head until the climax. In the Broken Monsters, you are thinking that it is just a thriller story about a single detective trying to figure out a strange murder, then something totally bizarre happens.

I definitely want to read this. Hopefully in the next month or so. Glad to hear you liked it!
