So, obviously this is a roleplay based off the selection novels.
Let's start with Illea.

Illéa is a nation that was established after the war against Asia. Illéa is believed to be the continent North America, named after Gregory Illéa who was the maker of the selection and caste system. He became the first king of Illéa,
The capital of the country and the palace are located in the Province of Angeles. Illéa was at war with New Asia, although the current status of the war is unknown.


Now on to the caste system.

The Caste System was created by Gregory Illéa, and has been used ever since.
Their are 8 castes, 1 being the richest and 8 being the poorest.

Ones
Royalty and religious figures; the royal family. You can only join this caste by be entering the selection and winning.


Twos
Celebrities; including athletes, singers, actors/actresses, models, politicians, police officers, firefighters, guards, and military members.


Threes
Great Minds; including inventors, teachers, philosophers, scientists, doctors, veterinarians, dentists, architects, librarians, engineers, therapists/psychologists, film directors, music producers, lawyers, and writers. Girls that are or were part of the Selection are also part of this caste, unless they are a natural Two or already a Three.


Fours
Businessmen; including jewelers, real estate agents, insurance brokers, head chefs, construction managers, property/business owners, and farmers.


Fives
Artists and Performers; including stage actors, classical musicians, singers, dancers, photographers and circus performers


Sixes
Workers; including secretaries, waiters/waitresses, housekeepers, seamstresses, store clerks, cooks, and drivers. Many of the maids and staff at the Palace are or were sixes.


Sevens
Manual Laborers; including gardeners, construction workers, farm hands, gutter/pool cleaners, and "trash collectors, ditch diggers, movers. Sevens are very similiar to sixes, but have outdoor jobs.

Eights
"Untouchables"; including mentally/physically unwell people, addicts, runaways, illegitimates, and the homeless. Traitors to the crown (a selected girl found not loyal to the prince) are also in this caste.


Now we move on to the selection itself.

The Selection is a competition between thirty-five girls called the Selected who compete to marry the prince and become the Queen of Illéa. There have been 6 Selections in the past and one is coming up. The prince has complete say of who stays and who goes, and eliminations happen.
Selecting
All females that are single and ages 16–20 are sent an application to fill out and return to the State Providence Offices along with a photo of herself. Participation isn't mandatory, so the girl does not have to fill it out if she so chooses not to. The government says that the girls are picked randomly, but to ensure that an ugly girl isn't picked, they get their picture taken to find the prettiest ones to compete.

And lastly, the rebels. Oh boy.

The Northern Rebels were formed by Spencer Illéa, the oldest son of Gregory Illéa. Northerners were known to attack much more frequently than the Southern rebels. However, they were far less likely to break in the palace and, when they did, not much damage is caused. They often steal books, as thought they were... looking for something?

Unlike the Northern rebels, the Southerners' attacks are much more lethal, but only come now and then—usually about once or twice a year. Since the Selection has started, the attacks have gotten more frequent. When they come, people always die.
