Vanessa was bagging the food and items from one of the people checking out. Her shift was almost over. All she wanted to do was go home, though she was running low on food and refused to get any from her parents.

Kira walked through the line, waiting for her turn at the checkout. When it was her turn, she put the plain black tee shirt on the counter. She smiled at the perfect behind the counter.

Vanessa looked at the girl, attempting to smile back. She didn't see the point in it though. She took the shirt and ran it through the scanner. "$4.50" she told her.

Kira smiled wider at the other girls refusal to smile back. She hands over the money and says, "Thank you." She keeps the smile on her face and drums her fingers on the countertop.

She took the money and put it in the register. "Mm. Sure." She said. The girls smiling was annoying her, though not as much as the drumming noises. "No drumming." She mumbled

"No drumming?" Kira said, smiling wider and drumming harder. "And why ever not? Is it a rule?" Kira asked in mock concern.

She sighed. "Because it's annoying. Not everyone is as happy as you are." She said and handed her the bag, hoping she would leave

"Of course. " Kira said, and stopped drumming on the counter. She accepted the bag, still smiling. "I guess I'll see you around?" She said, aware that the girl probably didn't like her.

"No." She said

"And why not?" Kira asked,her smiled dropping slightly. She put the strap of the bag around her wrist, leaning forward slightly in intrest.

"Because I don't like people....and because I don't leave my house unless it's school or work." She said

"Yes, then I'll be here tomorrow at the same time." She said. She was content to be a thorn in this Perfect's side, just for fun.

"Then I won't." She said, though knowing she would be there. She would probably just hide though

"You won't what?" Kira asked, tilting her head slightly to the side and letting her smile fade all the way.

She sighed. "Is it not obvious? I won't come to work if you come here again." She lied.

"Well what if I don't end up showing up?" Kira asked, deliberatly being annoying.

"Then that's your problem." She said

"Sounds good to me!" Kira said. "Then I'll see you tomorrow."

"Not." She said with a light smirk

"Ok." Kira said with a smile, then turned and walked away.

She stuck her tongue out at her as she walked off and rolled her eyes

Kira, unaware of the gesture, walked out the door of the grocery store.

She rolled her eyes, them realized she forgot the change. She groaned and forced herself to go after her

Kira stops outside the store, leaning up agains the wall. She wasn't in any hurry, and had nowhere she had to be.

She walked outside, in no hurry whatsoever but found her. "You forgot your change." She mumbled

"Oh. Thanks." Kira said, reaching out for the change.

She nodded and gave it to her

Kira nodded, pocketing the money.

She turned and walked off

Kira watched her walk away, then slid down the wall, sitting with her back to the wall.

She looked back wondering what she was doing. Surely she would be off in happy land again, she thought

Kira picked at a blade of grass and pulled it into strips.

"Don't you have something worthy to do?" She asked

Kira jumped at her voice, looking up. "No, not really. At least, not right now." She smiles tensely. "It's Saturday."

"So? Isn't there like...homework or work you could do?" She asked

"Yeah, there's homework." Kira said, smiling. "I just like to procrastinate."

"I'm guessing your a Perfect." She said

She shook her head. "Nope. Vampire. And you're a Perfect?" She asked.

"Yes." She said. 'Guess vampires aren't all that great like they make themselves sound.' She thought

Kira nodded. "Hey, aren't you supposed to be working or something?" She asked.

"My shift is over." She mumbled, but she did hate the fact she was outside

Kira nodded again. "So why are you talking to me?" She smirked. "I thought I was annoying?"

"I....was curious." She mumbled

Kira shrugged. "Ok. That's a valid enough reason, I guess."

"You guess." She rolled her eyes

"Yeah, I do. You got a problem with that?" Kira challenged quietly.

((I have to go to bed now. Good night))

She smirked. "Guessing leads to uncertainty. Are you unsure of something?"

"What would I be unsure of?" Kira asked with a smile.

She shrugged. "Like I know what goes on in a vampires mind." She rolled her eyes.
