The Family Plot - Cherie Priest

The Family Plot is a creepy haunted house story. It is about a crew of salvagers that come to salvage valuables from a old southern mansion before it is demolished. It doesn't take long for them to start seeing strange things. I enjoyed this story. It was not too scary or horrific and I loved the descriptions of the old house. The ghosts were a little too obvious for me to be really scared and the characters were interesting, but the author stopped a bit short in their characterizations so they did not really feel like three dimensional characters and I did not find myself too concerned for their well being. Despite these issues, it entertained me and kept me up reading and wanting to know how it ends.
