Am currently reading Defeat in Victory

Arthur, we have a proper way to do citations. We add the bookcover, the word by, the author's photo if available and the author's link which is the author's name in linkable text. In the book you mentioned - we would be able to add the book cover which is available, the word by, the author's photo is not available so we add the author's link which is the author's name in linkable text and in parentheses (no photo) meaning that there was no author's photo.

I sent you some links - one of them is called Mechanics of the Board and that will help you.

In the upper right hand corner in green lettering above the comment box; you will see the words add book/author. Click on it. You will see two choices at the top Book and Author. Make sure that the underlining is under Book.

At the bottom you will see what we call harvey balls but some folks call them radio buttons. Make sure the radio button that says cover is filled in with blue by clicking on it. Then in the book rectangular box type in the name of the book - in this case - Defeat in Victory and click search. You will have to click on the pages at the bottom to find the book you want and you will find it on the second page. Click add and the html for the book will post in your comment box. Leave a space and type in the word by and then leave another space. Position your cursor in the space after the word by and go into add book/author again. This time make sure that the underlining is under the word author. You will see the Jan Ciechanowski's name at the top but you will not see an author's photo so simply make sure that the harvey ball or radio button is filled in blue by link and add the author's link. Then add (no photo) at the end because there is no author's photo. If there was an author's photo, you would add the author's photo first after the word by and then you would add the author's link and you do that by going in a second time.

That is good so far - but add (no photo) after the author's name so the members realize that there is no photograph of the author loaded on goodreads.

If that had been a photograph you would have added that first after the word by and then you would have also added the authors name in linkable text as you have done.
