I've just started Cold Falling White by Gabrielle S. Prendergast. (576 pages) I'm cheating a bit since I have to read this for another group. If I really like it, I'll go and read the first in the series.

Welcome to Big Book Summer, Karen! A Time to Kill is an amazing novel - still one of his best, after all these years (and all those books).
Mr. Mercedes and Truly Madly Guilty are both on my Big Book Summer list, too! We'll have to compare notes.
Enjoy your Big Books! Be sure to stop by the other discussion threads (Big Books Being Read and Completed) with updates!

Welcome to Big Book Summer Challenge, Brittanie! Oooh, doing a Big Book Classic this summer, huh? I;'m hoping to include 1 or 2 classics, also.
I highly recommend Middlemarch. It IS a chunkster, but I ended up loving it. It's surprisingly witty and relevant today.
Whatever you choose, enjoy!
