Introducing our May/June read for #readwithrach - The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Chrissi Lefteri . So I was talking recently with @megan_dentonbrown And we were saying how we couldn’t believe neither of us had read this book when it’s been around for over a year with all these amazing reviews, so here we are! Chrissi is the daughter of Cypriot refugees, this book was created from her time working at a UNICEF refugee centre in Athens. Through talking to the refugees and hearing their stories, the protagonists Nuri and Afra were born. I can’t wait to discuss this with you all as I have only read a few chapters and I can’t put it down!!
