On FB, I asked if we should do only books everyone could easily find online. Christine suggested classics, if we go that route, because those would be easier to access. So I made a few suggestions for classics:Native Son
Things Fall Apart
Sometimes a Great Notion
Woman in the Dunes
Orlando
Martian Chronicles
Terry added some suggestions:
The Night Circus
The Starless Sea
Dante's Garden (yes!)
Geek Love
Lewis Carroll bio
Has anyone read The Blind Owl? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1.... I see some pdfs online but possibly the translation might be an issue
ok so we have a vote for Martian Chronicles or Native Son.Anyone have links to either of those books? For one, if you start a free 30-day trial on scribd.com, you can have access to tons of books...but only during that free trial. LOL
I’ve been using Hoopla quite a bit for ebooks and audiobooks. You just need a library card. I’d be into Martian Chronicles, as it’s one I’ve always meant to get to.
I'd be into Martian Chronicles! ALSO I work for the library. Lots of copies of it available right now as both physical book (more copies) or e-licenses.And Terry's suggestions, any of them I'd be in for as well!
