Good luck with your challenge, Emily! What did you think of Lena's book? I don't know much about her, but I know she's a pretty irreverent, controversial comedian.
Thanks!I enjoyed it. Even though she and I don't actually have that much in common, I could relate to a lot of what she said. It was insightful and funny, even if sometimes I got exasperated. People love to hate her, but I'm grateful to her for changing the dialogue we have about women.

Woo!
Thanks! I normally read books before I see the movie, but this time I saw the movie first, so that also shaped my opinion. I enjoyed the story but didn't love the writing. That said, I'm planning to start Insurgent soon. Have you read it?

Cassandra wrote: "Nope, but it's sitting on the bookshelf next to me. I hope to get to it before too long."I have the same problem. My son actually bought it for me (a very thoughtful gift from a 12 year old) because he wanted me to read the series with him. We did that with the Hunger Games. Every time I look at it, I have "bad mom" guilt.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is on my TBR, but I just can't seem to pick it up. I think this is due to a lack of exposure to feedback from readers. What did you think of it?

You can't pick it up because of a lack of reader feedback? What about it do you want to know? I enjoyed it. If you like dark humor and YA, check it out.

"It's not lack of feedback which is stopping me-- it's all the feedback about other great books I could be reading instead. I'm just as motivated to pick up something I've heard little about, instead of books my favorite reviewers are raving about.

Awesome job, Emily! Do you think you'll be able to squeeze in a few more books before the end of the year?
