Where the greavers live

Newt ran in and saw Tommy already inspecting it

hunter slid to a stop jext to newt. "U tommy?"

Thomas sighed. "I'm Thomas." He glared at Newt.

"Opps. did i jist get u in troubel?" eh asks newt?

Newt laughs. "No. I call him Tommy." He said

(from the glade)

"It's almost dark!"Margot warns

"An i am guessin he don't like it when others do." He leans against the maze wall

Newt shakes his head. "No he doesn't. Tommy, Hunter, lets go." He said, sprinting back to the glade, Thomas trailing behind him

Hunter looked. back, then followed..

Thomas lead Mallory here.

Mallory looks, "What is that?" She asks

It looks like a window to a forest.

"Do you think that's the way out?" She asks, looking through the hole.

"No. If you try jumping, you fall to your death." He said.

"Weird." She says, "I think this is a big part of getting out though."

"Ya. But we can't seem to find anything." He said.

She inspects it some more, "Has anyone actually tried to jump in it?" She asks

He nodded. "They just fell and fell and fell, then......splat."

She frowned, "Ugh, ok then. What about building something across?" She asks

"Across to where?" He asked.

Mallory shrugs, "I don't really know what to think."

"Thats life here." He said

"You can say that again." She laughs

He chuckled.

"So, what's your plan Mr. Tom?" She asks

"I don't know...." he said.

She sighs and leans her head on his shoulder, "I feel like we have gotten nowhere."

He puts his arm around her and nodded.

She thinks until her head hurts. "Ugh. This is so frustrating. Why are we even here??" she says, clenching her fists.

"Do you want to go back to the galde?" He asked.

She puts her face in her hands, "I don't care..."

He softly stroked her hair.

She buries her face in his neck

He smiled kindly and kept stroking.

She breathed in his scent and hugged him tightly, in need of some comfort.

Thomas smiled. "I'm gonna take you back to the glade, okay?" He asked softly.

She nods silently

He reached down and picked her up into his arms.

"I can walk if you want..." she says quietly.

"Do you want to walk?" He asked softly.

She smiled a little at how gentle he was being with her. "Not real-" she stopped and frowned. Then looked around in confusion.

"Whats wrong?" He asked.

She opened her mouth to say something, but then closed it again. She looked at him, a little confused, and almost hurt. "It's....Nothing." She says

He no longer looked like Thomas. His face morphed into someone else's....something else...

She frowned, "Thomas...?"

Whatever was Thomas before, has now morphed into a griever.
