hey, Lusie. I found out this week that my library is opening doors on Monday and guess what... I still haven't finish reading all the books I borrowed from BC ha ha ha.

Reading hard and have still got 2 to go, will take me 2-3 days so I'll be behind a little with this (:

I'll wait with reading, since if I start I might not want to stop lol

It's okay if it is longer. Would you prefer to start next week Sunday, since you like to start buddy reads on Sunday's? Then you don't have to rush.

I just had breakfast :D It's 8:30am here. I'll problably pick out a book I can finish in 1 day. I have the day off so that should be doable. Then tomorrow I can start reading the butterfly room.

I have got a couple of days off and don't have to work until tuesday. I'm still a student so have class on friday. I yet have to turn in a couple of assignments. They are as good as done. I just need to scan a few things that I need to attach with it. So I should have plenty of time to read too.

My plan tomorrow morning is to go to the library, after dropping boys at school, to return books I've had since Feb & maybe borrow some more... well, no maybe. I have a list so unless I can't find any of them, I will be borrowing lol

lol Yes I am very organised, you got that right. I think today I will just relax and finish up tomorrow. I don't have much to do anyway.

You sure had them for so long! It will be fun to pick out new books! You should just pick up some that look good to you. lol no I am a bad influence trying to get you to read books that are not on the list ;-)

a couple of them are in Bahasa Indonesia which is why I kept putting them back down; too much effort lol

I've read "Admiral House, Aouthwold Suffolk". Which is about Posy when she is 7 years old (world war 2).

It's sad about the butterflies, but it was to be expected her dad didn't release them and added them to his collection instead. I think her dad probably died in the war and that her mom was having an affair with "Uncle Ralph". (hide spoiler)]

That second half of the last sentence I do agree with and set my teeth on edge and probably one reason why I dropped it earlier on.

I didn't manage to read much yesterday as I had a bit of a headache but I did manage to read up to where I left off last lol (end of chapter 2)

And then... I flipped and read the blurb on the back of the book. Ugh! 'family secrets' I. hate. that. phrase.

You are ahead of me. I didn't feel like reading yesterday evening, so watched television instead. I'm still somewhere in chapter 1. I love the description of her garden. It sounds stunning.

I like this kind of books with family secrets. I haven't read the back of the book, so am going in blind.

I'm looking forward to read your spoiler, but will have to wait until I had the chance to read it. I had classes this morning and in the afternoon my sister is coming for a visit. So I probably won't be able to catch up, but who knows!

I feel sorry for posy as a child because her mom abandoned her just like that. I think a kid didn't fit the lifestyle she wanted. Posy's grandma is great and she is probably happier now.
I'm curious about the anchorman too.

Amy should just take the kids and move in with Posy. Her marriage with Sam sounds like it's ended. She will probably start dating the writer.

I like the writing style of this author so for me this is an easy read. The problem is finding time to sit down to read lol But this weekend should be easier. I don't have many things planned.

I'm at chapter 25. It was lovely weather to read while sitting in the garden in the shade of the apple tree. So that is what I did. Sorry for going so fast!

I'm enjoying it so far, but think you'd probably not like one of the story lines...

I think the family secrets are easy to guess, but not sure yet if I'm right.

I think I should pick out another book otherwise I would finish it in no time! lol

Up to chapter 24

I enjoy the flashbacks to when Posy was younger. It's interesting to learn more about her. No wonder she is so good at gardening! I thought it was just a hobby, but now I know she has got a lot of knowledge about it.

I am not sure what to think about Freddy. On one hand I'm curious, but on the other hand I think it's annoying he just won't tell Posy what's going on. I wonder if he is related to her which is why he won't date her... probably not, but it's one of my theories. I wonder what else it could be what Posy hasn't heard about him yet.

I'm annoyed with Sam. He probably has got an affair.
I don't like that Amy is cheating on her husband, though think she should just leave Sam and after she is divorced she could she if things work out between her and the writer.

I think Nick is cute. He probably just heard he has got a daughter, which is what he doesn't want to tell Tammy. Despite that I still hope he and Tammy will have a happy ending. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

I only meant to read for an hour but I think I went for 1.5 hours, I couldn't put it down but then I stalled big time because I could see where things were going and I. got. ticked.

They are hinting at another family secret.

Sounds like you enjoyed the book, until you got to the story line that I knew you wouldn't like. I understand why you want to read more other books, but nice that you still want to continue.

I do love the flashback to the past. I do like historical fiction so that's probably my highlight for this book. I wished her college days were more detailed but I guess that's not what this book was about so fair enough.

My theory about Freddy is like yours because that was the ultimate no-no obvs BUT pleasantly surprised by the twist. Even if that makes her mother such. a. WITCH! But. We knew that from early on.

I never thought Sam had an affair. He's just a loser though I won't be surprised if that affair bit was cut out of the book as it's not quite relevant to the story. It's more about Amy than Sam.

I understand that Amy's marriage was on the rocks ages ago and knew the undercurrent of violence And hoped that'll be the reason she left instead of for Sebastian. In the end, that ended up being the case so I'm kinda happy. I still didn't like that they slept together. Whhhyyy....

I did enjoy the seven sisters series. There are 6 books so far. Each of the sisters are trying to find out their roots. The romances in the books are lacking, but the writing is good and it mainly is a historical book. Lots of family dramas. There are usually two points of views. One of the sisters and a person from the past. I think you'd like it.
