I'll start. I'm Dianne Lynn Gardner, and author of both YA and new adult fantasy. I love reading especially stories that stretch my imagination, and delve into a fascinating world but which have compelling and flawed characters I can learn to love.

I like to include in my books a dab of historical content or current affairs as seen in Cassandra's Castle, Pouraka and Altered (only Altered is published). Much of the landscape in my books include forests of the Pacific Northwest, or the shimmering deserts of Arizona where I used to live, add to that a pinch of magic dust and a few million stars and you just might find the portal to another Realm as in the Ian's Realm Saga.

I'm happily married to a man that puts up with my celestial wanderings and wonderings, I'm also the mother of seven lovely adult children and grandmother to sixteen gorgeous boys and girls.

I love writing, painting in oils and living in other dimensions. Life is much more colorful that way! Some of my books are middle grade to young adult adventure fantasies with dragons and wizards and sorcery and battles on the high seas. While others are meant for a more refined audience. My grandchildren are a big inspiration for my stories. There’s a shared camaraderie, something akin to what C.S. Lewis said about someday being old enough to enjoy fairy tales again.

I'm currently stretching my tent stakes in to Indie film production. Our team is working on a production of Book V of the Ian's Realm Saga titled Cassandra’s Castle. I hope to have the book published this year soon!

Author! We often think of an author as one who writes books or articles for a magazine or perhaps even a play; but it has been my experience that the expression is seldom used to describe a poet. That may be the practice but the term author does include poets as well. In this category of author I can claim rightfully to be a published author. :)

Yes I am a poet. But more than that I am an author of thoughts and ideas, of one liners and micro whit. I don't blog per se, but I do share with all the Hassard Zone on Facebook which expresses faith issues, political issues and human relations issues. Above all, I am one who thinks and shares openly what and why I think as I do. I am a naked author in that I do not cloth myself with pretense and politically correct nonsense.

I am a poet. I am a thinker. I am a warrior for truth and light, a preacher of eternal life. I am a Marine who has defended his nation and the ideals of liberty and pursuit of delight. I have written of my life and times as a child and as a young Marine and warrior in Vietnam. I have written of these things and the challenges when I returned home to the USA. I have written of these things ... yes and more.

What am I not? I am not looking for fame or fortune, but I would not reject good fortune of any kind. I seek only to express myself to any who might be willing to think about what I am expressing all about. Like anyone who puts their naked feelings and yearnings out for all to see, I seek only to be appreciated for who I am and how I feel. More than acceptance, I seek an embrace. Embrace my heart, embrace my thought, embrace me within and without. Yeah, I would love to have that happen... Embrace me by embracing those raw expressions of who I am and how I think and feel. Entangle your very being with mine and become one with me through my words...and yours.

Nice to meet you, A.W. Hazzard! I love your passionate intro. A poet is an author in its most organic sense, for it's from the abstract where poetry begins that all other thoughts are formed, or at least that's how I see it. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for serving our country!

Jane Carroll (janecarroll) | 5 comments Hello, I'm the author of the Bertha Books...Bertha-Size Your Life, Becoming Bertha, and Where the Joys Are: Bertha's Guided Journal.

When I'm not busy as Bertha's keyboard slave, I enjoy reading, especially personal-growth and inspirational topics with some contemporary fiction and a cozy thrown in here and there.

I play many roles in life: As a registered nurse, I work in a small 7-12 school, balancing my time between sending them back to class and sending them home. As a life coach, I assist women who are ready to know, own, and live their truth. As a daughter, mother, and grandmother...well...you can pretty much figure what I do in those roles.

Vickie (vixiejj) | 2 comments Hi! I'm Vickie and I live in London, UK, where I work full-time as a magazine layout sub-editor. I wrote my first book, Kiwi in Cat City, in 2002. I applied to one publisher, who replied without comment and I kind of gave up on novel writing. No one read it except me. Instead, I wrote poetry and short things I never quite finished. In 2011, I discovered self-publishing, and put out one book of poetry and Kiwi in Cat City. Kiwi is now a six-book series and I've got 15 books out there in total. Apart from writing, I love the sea, animals, nature, Baileys, a good ale, films, art, galleries, sculpture, travelling and Milky Bar. I'm also a champion sleeper.
Nice to meet you,
Vickie

Nadia Kilrick (NadiaKilrick) | 1 comments Hi All,

I'm a Master Koda Select Publishing author of short stories and novels. All of my stories are told in a Southern voice. I draw on a lifetime of interactions with real life characters, who themselves, are solidly grounded in the Deep South. Due to some violent content, my books are meant for an adult audience. To date, my published works are in the psychological thriller, suspense/mystery and paranormal (ghost) genres.

When I'm not pounding away at the keyboard, I am probably spending time with family, or a menagerie of fur babies and small farm animals, that inhabit my rural property.

Nice to meet y'all.

Hi all! I'm Tamy Burns, author name T.L. Burns. I write historical fiction, short stories, and am starting on a cozy mystery series soon. I live in Las Vegas, NV with my hubby Ken of 35 years (wow, right?) and my four legged fur baby Digby. We moved to Vegas a year and half ago when my dad passed to help my mom.

When I'm not writing, you'll find me with family and friends, zip lining, hiking, deal seeking/shopping or playing some sort of game.

Tena (pioneergirl08) | 6 comments Hi all. I'm not an author (and really not sure I can call myself a writer - jury is still out on that one), but I do know a few of you from Master Koda and Facebook and wanted to give a *wave*. I posted an intro over in the 'intro for readers' folder, but I'll give a quick one here.

My Name is Tena Carr. I like to make up stories in my head (in fact have been doing so since I was a child - usually as a way to waste... err.. pass time when put into time-out. I don't seem to have much look getting those stories to paper, but I do enjoy trying my hand at some of the various writing challenges I come across on Wordpress and posting to my blog http://www.tainiwrites.wordpress.com (is that ok to post here).

I did try my hand at Camp NaNoWriMo last year (2014) and am thinking I might actually try again this year, though I have absolutely no idea what I would write. But then I didn't last time either. The "work" I did last year is REAL rough and a hodgepodge of non-sensical short stories but, who knows, I might try to put some of that together into some sort of short story (or series of short stories).

Best of luck to all you Real Writers and Authors out there and May the Muse be with you.

I tried Camp NaNoWriMo but the summer was hectic on my writing schedule. I do much better in November. we are thrilled to have you with us Tena! Welcome.

Basil Pearl (basilpearl) | 2 comments Hey Ya'll!!
I'm Basil Pearl and I just Indie-published my debut short novel Middlesettlements on Dec. 27th, 2014. I'm excited about the fact that it currently has six out of six 5 Star Reviews.
I'm right out of the gate and eager to learn.
I reside in the Hills of Tennessee and adore my "critters" (chickens, guineas, goats and cats) of which I find myself including in the stories that I write.
My current project is my first full length novel of which is approximately 75% complete.
Happy 2015 to all of you!
Basil Pearl

Linda (lindalou42) Hi all! I'm Linda Bolton contemporary romance writer and whatever strikes my fancy. I have multiple ideas in the works with a goal of completing 2 novels this year - at least one a contemporary romance. The other will be a surprise. I'm part of a readers group here in the DFW area and will be a featured author this Nov at Readers 'n Rita's.

I also work full time, have a 26 yr old daughter and a 2 yr old granddaughter. I have a great guy who's supportive and very patient. He needs to be with me. I can be a handful! LOL.

I hope to have a website up in the next couple of weeks. I look forward to this group and helping each other out!

Lauri | 5 comments Hi everyone! I'm Lauri Fern and I write coming of age young adult novels that feature nature and wildlife. My debut novel, A Life Interrupted, was released in November 2014. I am currently working on the sequel.

When I'm not writing, my time is spent working full time as an environmental consultant, assisting with operations at our kayak tour company, volunteering at our local wildlife rescue, dragon boating, running, and playing frisbee with our crazy Golden Retriever Karma.

I am originally from New Jersey - the Shore area so I don't have an obnoxious accent ;) and we moved to the Gulf Coast of Florida in 2011. You couldn't pay me to move back up north!

Camp NaNo was fun - Little scary, but fun. My blog is a mixture of my own "writings" (Not really short stories - too short.) and sharing of information for writers - though I don't do much of the latter as I don't really have much of my own stuff (as a newby) to share... And now that I've scared you all away with my horrendous grammar ( Ha Ha) I appreciate having my blog perused :-)

S.E. Myers (stephiemyers) | 1 comments Hi there,

My name is Stephanie Grillett. I write under the pen name S. E. Myers. I currently live in California but in a weekish, I will be moving to Lexington, Kentucky. I have one book published called "Dark Revelation" and am working on not only the second in the series, but also a New Adult book titled "Body Thief."

I am transitioning to writing full-time as writing part-time with a full-time job/kids/church/life didn't work so much. I have an amazingly supportive family and am really looking forward to this next chapter in my life.

Nice to meet you guys!!

I hate ending a series. That's why Ian's daughter found a way into the Realm.
