Vanity Fair question

Hm... I haven't read Candide by Voltaire yet, but I think it's pretty ironic? This isn't a book, but "A Modest Proposal" by Jonothan Swift's really fun. Pride and Prejudice is a very different book from Vanity Fair, but it's got similarly top-tier humor.
