I have read Gone With the Wind, but it was probably 25 years ago or so. Yikes! I am so excited to read it again. I also have seen the movie many times, but more when I was a kid. It also has been ages since I've seen it.
I'm still staying home as much as possible. I have a brother living with me who is pretty vulnerable because of a health condition, so I am avoiding stores and other places as much as I can. The hermit side of me doesn't mind too much, but I do miss getting together with friends and family. I'm planning a trip to NY to see my mom later in June, but will just be at her house not gallivanting all around. (haha. I don't think I've ever written the word gallivanting before. Have no clue how to spell it!). Hope and pray you are all well!

As for COVID, I live in Canada and many places here are still closed. I'm staying in ad much as possible and reading even more than usual. I like socialising but I am more introverted than not, so quarantine has come pretty naturally to me.
Best to everyone, enjoy the read!

I’m still quarantining with my husband. We tried go out last weekend but many places are still closed or have limited hours. We’re better off just staying home.

We are still staying in mostly. Limited trips out with face masks!

I’m on the border of Washington and Oregon. Supposedly we are Phase 1 opening. Everyone appears to act like it’s a free-for-all and not wearing masks, etc., but I’m one of the lucky immune suppressed folks due to chemo so I’m stuck at home most of the time. More time for reading, yeah?
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading my rambling. Please all stay safe and healthy! Enjoy your reading and hopefully the beautiful month of June!

I have never read the book and I don't think I have ever watched the movie from beginning to end. Just bits and pieces here and there.
I live in WA. state and we are still in Phase 1 of the quarantine. My normal life is so crazy, busy that I don't mind this time at home. I just told my husband today that "I am worried about myself because I don't want to go anywhere". BUT I SURE COULD USE A HAIRCUT!!!!

Hey, Kim! I just looked at Goodreads page and I see you live very close to me. I am in Vancouver. Hazel Dell to be exact. So I will just say "Hi Neighbor".

As for life....I am currently in the hospital but I need to go home today. My husband and I are divorcing and I am moving into an apartment June 12. I still have tons to do. In St Louis we are still in Phase 1. I need to get pillows and I can’t do that online cause I want to feel them. I am ready for this to done. We were supposed to go to Phase 2 tomorrow but on Friday our governor extended Phase 1 till June 15.

I am getting out more. My husband and I are both in healthcare, but we are not currently working in high risk units. We have had a ton of rain in SC which has helped with staying home.

Tennessee is opening up more so I'm about to get around a bit more. I've been doing a lot of hiking since that's about the safest thing here to do.

As for the lock down, things are moving very slowly here in CA. We have been getting out a little more lately.

I've been staying home most of the time. I go out for work (a couple days out of the week) and to go get groceries. I did venture out this past weekend to our local flea market and go out to eat.

Still working as a librarian in our county's library - we now have our main library open for limited services. Branches are open by appt only. Hopefully are moving back toward more normal services and hours by the beginning of July - but it's hard to make plans for that too far ahead of time because it seems that everything changes so quickly.

Things are slowly reopening here in Ohio. I was happy to see my hairdresser this week to cover my grays! The thing I most look forward to is when the library will someday open so I can get the books I have on hold!

Things are slowly reopening here in Saskatchewan. We are just opened non-grocery stores this week and are hoping for playgrounds soon.
The library is opening up for curbside pickup and drop off next week.
I am almost through with teaching online, it is not ideal for anyone. I am looking forward to the summer when I can just chill.

I live in Nashville and work for a school and church in the area! I’ve been going in to work during the quarantine but only going to the grocery store outside of work. So I’m spending lots more time at home. I’m a bit of a homebody though and I love to read so I’m thrilled to have more reading time.
Looking forward to the read along!

I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are in Phase 2 where our schools have gone back voluntarily (I am a supervision aide and we have half of our students back). Restaurants and Gyms have reopened with social distancing rules and some places we have to wear masks. I will be glad when this pandemic is over.

I'm only 1/2 way through! Finishing part 3 tonight! haha. You're not alone. I am also going to keep reading it into July.

Is this your first time reading this chunker or have you read it before?
Have you seen the movie adaptation?
How are you?! Are you still staying home a ton or as things are opening up are you starting to get out more?
