I'll be starting my re-read of Daevabad next weekend in preparation for the third book. Feel free to join in with any of the books:

I recently finished the first book, I have the second one and a copy of the arc for empire of gold.

I'm reading Kingdom of Copper at the moment, and I'll be starting Empire of Gold once I'm done (I'm pretty sure I should finish just in time for it's release) so I'll definitely join in with you guys when I'm reading that!

Carl, you lucky devil! I am so excited for Empire of Gold. It's one of my most anticipated releases of the year.

I just finished City of Brass today! I really loved it. Can't wait to start the second book.

Yay!! I'm so excited to re-read them and chat with them. I remember when I read the first book I'd had an ARC from a book subscription box for ages and hadn't actually read it until book 2 came out and Britt happened to reading book 2 at the time and even though I'd promised I wasn't gonna buy any more books I bought book 2 immediately so I could read it with her haha

I'm 50 pages into City of Brass. I forgot how much I loved this series. It is so good to be back in this world.
I'm just about to start the first chapter from Ali's perspective. I love Ali!

Squee!! He's still mine! Oh gosh I want to reread so bad....

I've just got an email saying my pre-order of Empire of Gold is on its way.... I need to hurry up on my re-read I'm only 100 pages into The City of Brass.

That's exciting!! I'm hoping to have mine end of the week early next.

I definitely won't be through CoB and KoC before it gets here so I can wait :)

I've still got another 19 chapters of KoC to finish, so I'm definitely okay waiting!

Also whats it like reading Dara's perspective again? Is there sympathy for him or is it clouded by what he does later?

Britt (view spoiler)[. Muntadhir hasn’t really been in it much as I’m only a little bit into the book but I absolutely look at his actions so differently.

I feel so different about Dara this time around. As you remember, I absolutely loved Dara first time around and while I do still like him my feelings towards him are different. I’m much more skeptical about him than I was first time around.

Where I’m up to Jamshid hasn’t really come into it yet. I’m at the bit where Ali has only just moved back into the palace. I will keep you updated about any hints and stuff I pick up on. This is one of the reasons I love re-reading. I always pick up on so much more. (hide spoiler)]

Right?! This is why I wanted to reread this one. Feel like there are things I absolutely missed! Trying to tell myself I cant justify buying them right now to reread.... trying to buy a house not more books. But damn its hard

See I wasn't a big fan of Dara in the first book, he has a lot of the toxic masculine traits that I don't really like, and then of course you have the whole (view spoiler)[ genocide (view spoiler)[. (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

I also didn't like Dara that much in the first book

I've also started reading The City of Brass. So refreshing to read a book set in Egypt. I don't remember when I read something with the same vibes. I'm about 20% into the book. Ans so far I enjoy Nahri's line more than Ali's.

I hope I can get started on the second book soon, I want to finish my current read first but I expect to start it this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing your thoughts Elena. On my first read through I also preferred Nahri's POV. Interestingly on my re-read I find a prefer Ali's.

Work has been absolutely crazy this week so I haven’t had chance to read much more. I’m planning to sit for a good few hours this evening to read.

I’m about 300 pages into The City of Brass. Nisreen just appeared for the first time. I love Nisreen.

I've just finished The City of Brass. Will be starting The Kingdom of Copper tonight. I've not got my copy of book 3 yet.

I haven't gotten mine yet either, I got an email Friday saying they just got them at the warehouse and it was on its way so maybe this Friday I'll get it.

I apologise for being so late with this. I'm reading Vicious and then starting my Kingdom of Copper re-read. Will get there eventually.

It's okay Kay, I'm still reading Kingdom of Copper anyway, I probably won't get to Empire of Gold for a couple of weeks!

Brill. I'm gonna read Vicious and then start Kingdom of Copper. That is if I don't get obsessed and decide to finish the Vicious series in one go as there's only 2 books.

I mean there's a high likelihood that might happen, Vengeful is super good!
