I liked that he made Jar-Jar more bearable by giving him asides that showed his idiocy was a pretense. What surprised me was the hint of immaculate conception of Anakin's mother that I never caught in the movie, and I wonder now if it was there in the original material or if it's an invention of Doescher's. Regardless, it's cringey.

So my rating is 2.5, and I will round up only because I think Doescher's whole idea of Shakespearizing Star Wars is a brilliant concept and he has executed it admirably, and a component of that admiration is he did it pretty concisely!
